SportsGround covers football news and analysis. This policy sets out our editorial standards; it is not a certification that every claim in our existing archive has been independently verified.

Sources and verification

Reporting should identify the evidence supporting its main claims, preferably official announcements, original interviews, competition records or other primary sources. Source links should support the specific claim attributed to them. A transfer announcement, for example, does not establish an undisclosed transfer fee.

News, rumours and opinion

Confirmed news should be distinguished from attributed reports, transfer rumours, predictions and opinion. Unconfirmed claims should not be presented as established fact. Match predictions and award forecasts are analysis, not guarantees.

Bylines and AI assistance

The SportsGround byline identifies the publication. Named contributors should be credited accurately. AI tools may assist research, drafting or image preparation, but their outputs require editorial review. AI-assisted work must not be described as wholly human-written, and generated illustrations should not be presented as authentic match photographs.

Corrections

Send correction requests to info@sportsground.live, including the article URL, the disputed claim and supporting evidence. Requests should be reviewed against the evidence. Material factual corrections should be explained to readers; publication dates should not be changed merely to make old content appear new.

Commercial content

Advertising and paid publishing relationships should be disclosed clearly. Payment does not make an unsupported claim reliable. Commercial submissions remain subject to relevance, safety and editorial review.

Images and originality

Use original writing and images that are owned, appropriately licensed, public domain or original generated illustrations. Credit sources where appropriate. Adding a logo or watermark does not grant permission to use someone else's image.
